Help & FAQ

Write to freeplate@pirog.app — in English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. We usually reply within two working days. For bugs, add your iPhone model, iOS version and what you did right before it happened.
What does “Checked” next to a dinner mean?
Every recipe is a fixed list of ingredients. Freeplate compares each ingredient with your list — allergens, diets and excluded foods — in code, not with AI. “Checked” means all ingredients are known to us and none contains anything on your list, including ingredients hidden inside composite ones (soy sauce contains wheat, peanut butter contains peanuts). If an ingredient is unknown or “may contain” something on your list, the recipe is not offered.
Does “Checked” mean the food is safe for my allergy?
It means the recipe, as written, doesn't call for anything on your list. It doesn't know which brands you buy or how your kitchen is set up. Always read product labels and “may contain” warnings, and follow your doctor's advice — Freeplate is not medical advice.
Can I exclude something that isn't an allergen?
Yes. Besides the 14 EU allergens and diets, you can exclude any single food from our ingredient list — mushrooms, coriander, bell peppers. Exclusions are strict. For things you merely dislike, use “Foods you don't like” in Settings: Freeplate avoids them when it can, without shrinking your week.
Can each person at the table have their own list?
Yes. In Settings → “People with their own list”, add up to 8 people with a name and their own list. The week fits everyone, and each recipe says who it was checked for. Deleting a person removes their list; what you set for the whole table stays.
Why do only a few recipes fit my list?
Long lists leave fewer dinners: 120 recipes in total, 104 without gluten, 82 without gluten, milk, eggs, nuts and peanuts together. We add recipes regularly. Try removing one exclusion or moving it to “Foods you don't like”.
How do I restore Pro on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, open Settings → Pro → Restore purchases in the app, or tap Restore on the Pro screen.
How do I cancel my subscription?
In your iPhone’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Freeplate Pro (the app itself has no cancel button — Apple manages subscriptions). Cancel at least 24 hours before the period or trial ends; Pro stays active until then.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are processed by Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where is my data, and how do I delete it?
What your table can't eat, the people you add, your plans and shopping list are stored only on your iPhone — we never receive them. Deleting the app deletes them. Analytics and crash reports can be switched off in Settings → Privacy; see the Privacy Policy.
